The Ramblers Association is a national
organisation, with over 130,000 members. Members are linked with one of
around 423 groups across the country, such as Sheffield Group. As well as
being able to take part in organised walks, members receive copies of the
quarterly Rambler magazine and an annually updated Rambler’s Yearbook and Accommodation
Guide. We encourage all walkers to join the Ramblers
Association. (Non-members are very welcome to come on two or three of our
walks before joining, if they would like to try them out.) Membership is handled by the National
Office. When you have joined
through them, your name and address will be passed to a Group, nomally the one covering the area where you live. You
will then receive walks programmes for that Group. Sheffield Group also circulates a regular newletter, 'The Sheffield Rambler', which contains news
and information. You are also welcome to join in the activities of
any other Group. |
